PIZZA HUT

HOW BAD DO
YOU WANT GOOD?

PIZZA HUT × JNR. × CLOCKWORK
PITCH PRE-VISUALIZATION / CREATIVE ENGINE

How Ritual Ads helped Pizza Hut, jnr., and Clockwork win one of Australia’s boldest campaign pitches using cinematic AI pre-visualization before production ever began.

OUR APPROACH

The Challenge

Pizza Hut had a problem Australians could name in one word: gone. The brand needed a relaunch bold enough to bring it back from the dead, and the idea on the table was dangerous by design. Friends on fire. Broken arms. Dropped pills. Darkly funny dilemmas where every character chooses pizza. Comedy this exaggerated lives or dies on tone, and tone doesn’t survive a script page. With the campaign up for grabs, agency jnr. and production company Clockwork brought Ritual Ads one question: how do you win a pitch for setting people on fire, before a single frame is shot?

Our strategy

THE PITCH, ALREADY ALIVE:
FROM SCRIPT TO SCREEN BEFORE THE SHOOT

Guiding a bold idea past the boardroom.
Ritual Ads served as the pitch team’s proof. The Creative Engine, the only platform of its kind that uses generative AI, predictive AI, and emotional intelligence to create transformational cinematic experiences at scale, turned pitch scripts into cinematic pre-visualization. Timing. Tone. World. The room never had to imagine “How Bad Do You Want Good?” They watched it.
01

Sell the Tone, Not the Description.

Comedy this dark can’t be explained. It has to land. Pre-vis let the room feel the joke, the pause, the choice. The boardroom’s reaction, in the client’s own words, was sniggers, snorts, and pure joy.
02

De-Risk the Brave Idea.

Bold work dies in the gap between paper and picture. The Creative Engine closed that gap, giving jnr. and Clockwork the confidence to pitch at full strength and the client the confidence to say yes.
03

Won in the Room.

The pitch carried the campaign because the campaign was already visible. What the room saw is what Australia later watched at halftime of State of Origin III.
"The new platform reflects a bold new chapter for Pizza Hut. We had a blast working closely with the jnr. team creating intentionally exaggerated & playful creative that dramatizes just how irresistible great Pizza Hut can be. You know you are on to something special when you can tell the creatives are having fun along the way & the board room’s reactions are quiet (& loud!) sniggers & snorts….pure joy!"

RITUALIZED RESULTS

The pitch won. The campaign launched at halftime of State of Origin III and rolled out nationally across TV, OOH, digital, social, and creators. It was named LBB’s Work of the Week and marked what Pizza Hut’s CMO called a bold new chapter for the brand. A ghost brand, back in the conversation. And it started with a pitch the client could see.
Final Impact

WHEN THE IDEA IS BRAVE,
THE PITCH HAS TO BE BRAVER.

Ritual Ads makes bold ideas visible before production begins.
When clients can experience the campaign instead of imagining it, better decisions happen faster and brave work gets made.
